Welcome to my personal book blog - Brown Flopsy's Book Burrow!!
I am mad about books in all their forms - paper books, e-books and audio books.
I review books and share the bookish love. You may also see me talking about books on Twitter (X), Instagram and Threads (@brownflopsy).
I always give honest reviews of the books I have enjoyed, and the views expressed here are completely my own.
I am also a member of, and admin for, the SquadPod Collective bloggers group.

A Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin.
Read March 2018.
N.K. Jemisin has won many awards or her Broken Earth trilogy (on my tbr!).
When you have read a lot of YA fantasy books, like I have have (the life of a secondary school librarian!), you sometimes yearn for a really good fantasy book aimed at adults, and this book was just the ticket. This is definitely not a YA book!
If you enjoy a whopper of a book where gods and mortals meet, in a world governed by political machinations, with a bit of sex thrown in, then this is for you. There is more than a hint of Raymond E. Feist about it too.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the Broken Earth books.
