Welcome to my personal book blog - Brown Flopsy's Book Burrow!!
I am mad about books in all their forms - paper books, e-books and audio books - they are all good to me!
I review books in their many forms - both new and old - and share the bookish love. You may also see me talking about books on Twitter and Instagram (@brownflopsy).
I always try to give honest reviews and the views expressed here are completely my own.

The Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
Read December 2017.
I had this book on my tbr pile for two years, before finally getting around to reading it.
This is actually a great little story, with promising characters and an interesting concept. The story centres around the idea that life has evolved into two sets of beings, divided by blood - red or silver. The Silvers are the ruling class and possess superpowers, and the Reds are the commoners, without powers of any kind.
Mare Barrow is a Red, with a life doomed to servitude, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace and discovers that she may have dangerous powers after all.
There are echoes of The Hunger Games, The Selection and Divergent here, but can the series continue to deliver?
