Welcome to my personal book blog - Brown Flopsy's Book Burrow!!
I am mad about books in all their forms - paper books, e-books and audio books.
I review books and share the bookish love. You may also see me talking about books on Twitter (X), Instagram and Threads (@brownflopsy).
I always give honest reviews of the books I have enjoyed, and the views expressed here are completely my own.
I am also a member of, and admin for, the SquadPod Collective bloggers group.

The Mistake by K.L. Slater
Read December 2017.
This is one of those books that is quickly forgettable.
Rose blames herself for the disappearance and murder of her brother, Billy, and sixteen years later, she is still unable to move past this trauma. She lives a quiet, reclusive life, until events lead her to question what happened all those years ago. Who really murdered Billy?
This is one of those books that you cannot see how the story could possibly be resolved in the few pages that are left. Sadly, the twist at the end was not credible at all. Even with a twist, there should be some signs that point towards what happens, so that you can see them in a different light, when you know the truth. This twist was just too random, with nothing in the story to support it. Shame.
