Welcome to my personal book blog - Brown Flopsy's Book Burrow!!
I am mad about books in all their forms - paper books, e-books and audio books.
I review books and share the bookish love. You may also see me talking about books on Twitter (X), Instagram and Threads (@brownflopsy).
I always give honest reviews of the books I have enjoyed, and the views expressed here are completely my own.
I am also a member of, and admin for, the SquadPod Collective bloggers group.

It by Stephen King
Started July 2017.
This is a whopper of a book and quite a tricky read, I think. I kept picking this up and putting it down again, so did not actually finish this until January 2019! I did get a bit bogged down in the middle, and even resorted to the audiobook for a while.
Although I am glad I finally finished it (for a reason I will come back to in a later post), I do not think this is one of Stephen King's best books (and I have read quite a few), eventhough it is one of his most well known.
BEWARE: This is not a book for children. Many children are drawn to this book, as I know from my years of experience as a school librarian, particularly because of the film and tv adaptations. However, this book is full of violence, much of it sexual, and dark horror. Please read this yourself before considering giving it to a child to read.
