This is a new direction for Nora Roberts, because it is an apocalyptic thriller and the first in her new dystopian trilogy " The Chronicles Of The One". The World as we know it crumbles after a sickness, born of darkness, sweeps across the nations, and awakens an age old struggle between good and bad magic. I cannot convey to you how good this book is! I could not put it down. The only question is, why has it taken Nora Roberts so long to write a book in this genre?
