As soon as I read the blurb for this book, I knew I would like it...a lot! Although it has been around since 2011, it has become quite popular recently, due to the Spielberg film - which I have not seen, but do not think I will like, as it looks like a lot of changes have been made.
I think this book works on two levels, but you only get the full experience if you can pick up on all the 70s and 80s references - and I am just the right age! However, it still works as a "gamer" style adventure in its own right, so younger teen readers can enjoy it too (just not as much!).
